developing potential
How we work
All of our services are bespoke – co-designed in partnership with our clients to develop individual and organisational potential. Our work is guided by a series of universal principles and methodologies, including:
Development from the inside out
Who a person is cannot simply be defined by what they do. Who we are comes from somewhere deep inside each one of us. What we do in life and work has the potential to be an intimate expression of who we are ... our being in action. We believe that the development of potential happens from the inside out - commencing with a connection with a learner's meaning and purpose and their passion. From this foundation, the development of their potential is limitless.
Appreciative Inquiry - focusing on what works
Appreciative Inquiry is about the co-evolutionary search for the best in people, their organisations, and the relevant world around them. In its broadest focus, it involves systematic discovery of what gives “life” to a living system when it is most alive, most effective, and most constructively capable in economic, ecological, and human terms.
Continuous learning
Simply put, continuous learning is an individual an organisation's ability to learn how to learn. We encourage individuals and groups we work with to view life (including work) as a "learning program" - that is, they are in the classroom of life. This way, the learner can continue to learn from almost everything in life. As a result, the learner continues to expand his or her capacity for living, including working Further, we embed within the design of all of our learning experiences, the core principles of sustainability (i.e., perception, learning, growth, immunity, heredity and evolution) to ensure the learner is able to 'make-known' the process through which they learn.
Participatory dialogue
The intentional use of conversation as a core process to cultivate the collective intelligence needed to create business and social value is increasingly being called upon. Participatory dialoging processes invite individuals to let-go of personal agendas and search together for collective responses to complex issues. We use participatory dialoguing process such as World Cafe and Open Space Technologies to facilitate large group and large scale collaboration and innovation projects where true solutions and innovation lie not in one leader or one viewpoint, but in the bigger picture of an organisation's collective intelligence.
Integral theory
Integral theory utilises the All-Quadrant-All-Levels (AQAL) operating framework (developed by Ken Wilber) to facilitate the consideration of any issue from four primary perspectives (‘quadrants'): individual-interior, individual-exterior, collective-interior and, collective-exterior. Within each ‘quadrant’ infinite levels of perspective are possible with each perspective integrated and interdependent on all others. The AQAL operating framework provides a robust and easy to understand way of supporting individuals and teams to consider any issue systemically. It is also a robust way of ensuring the successful implementation of any learning intervention within an organisation.
Direct experience
It is through direct experience of a phenomenon or principle that it comes alive. There is nothing more powerful than a process that ‘makes real’ the inner experiences of individuals and groups as they learn to work in more emergent and transformative ways. We utilises a range of direct experience approaches to provide individuals and teams with an 'experience of life'.
